  • Summer kamp!

This is a day camp (no over-nights) for your Juniors Ages 11-14 that want to learn how to kayak in the safe, controlled location of the Whiskeytown Environmental (NEED) Camp. Our instructors are the friendliest, Professional Kayak Instructors certified by the American Canoe Association.

This week long camp includes comprehensive paddling instruction, environmental education,  slide shows and videos made for kids, river games, safety awareness education, a ropes course to build confidence and promote team work, and lots of paddling.  Skills are taught in a safe and fun learning environment to keep campers happy.  Your junior paddlers will leave this camp with all the skills to grow on their own as a paddler.

 

Pre-requisite: Average swimming ability required.

Time: Arrive each day at 9:00am.  Depart each day at 4:30pm.  Carpool shuttles will be organized the first day.

Tuition: $675 per Camper.  Includes lunches, instruction, and all paddling equipment.  Come prepared to swim and hike and bring a second pair of shoes you can get wet.

Classroom: The Whiskeytown Need Camp.  An outline of all camp activities for the week will be mailed to the family of each camper.
